Abstract
Maritime Equipment Group Gaming (MEGG) is essential for exploring the game behaviors (e.g., confrontation, competition, and cooperation) among various clusters of civil/military vessels, warships, carrier-based aircraft, and so on, in ocean task scenarios. First, we clarify the concept and connotation of MEGG, and classify the fundamental methodologies from perspectives of game mode, scope, intelligence levels, etc. Second, we review recent technologies related to MEGG from two aspects: non-intelligent group games and intelligent group games. Finally, we summarize the existing challenges and discuss six potential research directions in MEGG.
