Energy Absorption Characteristics of New Thin-walled Built-up Structures Subjected to Axial Impact

摘要: 金属薄壁管是一种有效的吸能结构,并且在吸能体系中得到了广泛应用.用非线性有限元方法研究了轴向冲击载荷作用下方形直壁管和锥壁管的吸能特性,基于提高结构的吸能能力的考虑提出了几种锥壁组合结构和具有引发机制的直壁组合结构.数值计算结果表明组合结构的吸能能力较之原始结构有显著提高.Abstract: Thin-walled tube of metallic shell is a sort of effective energy absorption structure and widely adopted in energy absorption systems. The energy absorption characteristics of square straight and tapered tubes subjected to axial impact are firstly studied with nonlinear finite element method in this paper. Some new designs of built-up structures like tapered, straight system with triggering feature are introduced, for improving the structural properties of energy absorption.Numerical results indicate that the absorption properties of built-up structures are highlighted when compared with the original.
