Development of Propeller Design and Performance Prediction Software Based on Visual Basic 6.0

  • High efficient design software is increasingly important to the development of propeller as much progress has been made in the ship industry.The propeller design software integrated with prediction of hydrodynamic pe rformance was developed in the Visual Basic 6.0,coupled with the Fortran and dynamic link library technology.This user-friendly software use lifting line method to realize propeller design and optimization,and then by lifting surface method to predict hydrodynamic performance.The experiment results proof that the software provides benefits in the following: complete functions and high level of visual effect and good usability in ra apid and accurate predictions and design.
