Research of the Virtual Ship Fire-fighting Training System Architecture Based on Virtual Reality Technique

  • Warship fire-fighting training in building is less severe and less effective, thus less accurate to evaluate firemen's capability of handling the fire disaster and less supportive to decision-making. The Virtual War ship Fire-fighting Training System (VWFTS) based on virtual reality technique will lead to a better solution for the fidelity of simulation and efficiency of training by introducing models of environment, disaster an nd training tactic etc. VWFTS will bring a dependable approach for disaster simulating, firefight training, and evaluation and decision-making. This paper presents the application of virtual reality technique to firefi ghting onboard, discussion of the framework of the VWFTS, and research of the five bottom models and their developments.
