Study on Coating of Radar Absorbing Materials Based on Radar echo Development

  • In order to control the negative effects of the coating of radar absorbing materials on the ship, such as the shift of center of gravity, the increase of cost and the increase of maintenance workload, a multi-objective optimization design strategy based on radar echo feature development technology is proposed to determine the key coating area of the ship and equipment. This method is used for imaging analysis of a ship, and the Radar Cross Section (RCS) and coating area of the ship are optimized by using the optimization strategy proposed in this paper. The relevant pareto and non-pareto solution sets are obtained, and the engineering application scenarios are reversed. The results show that the proposed method can accurately determine the key coating area, and at least 10 pareto optimal solutions (including bipolar solutions) are obtained by simulation. Using pareto solution set to carry out engineering application inversion for the ship, the total average RCS decreases by more than 53% when the area ratio of coating is less than 11%. Simulation results show that the proposed method is effective and has good engineering application value for ship target RCS control.
