A novel approach to large-scale autonomous formation of ships without specifying ship positions

摘要: 目前的船舶自主编队算法直接或间接的指定了各个船舶在编队中的具体位置,存在通讯量大、无法就近编队、无法扩充船舶数量等问题亟待解决。随着编队规模的扩大这些问题将更加显著,因此新编队策略的研究势在必行。本研究受到自然规律和的启发,借鉴图论和人工势场法等,提出一种无需指定船舶在编队中的具体位置,且能够根据实际情况自动选择合适位置的自主编队方法:虚拟壁面法,解决了上述问题。通过对船舶编队的静态、动态、旋转、缩放和避障的仿真验证了这种算法的有效性,在船舶大规模编队中具有显著优势。Abstract: The current ship autonomous formation algorithm directly or indirectly specifies the specific position of each ship in the formation, so there are some problems that need to be solved, such as the large amount of communication, the inability to form up according to the proximity principle, and the inability to expand the number of ships. With the expansion of formation scale these problems will be more significant, so the research of new formation strategy is imperative. This study is inspired by the laws of nature and the graph theory and the artificial potential field method, proposing an autonomous formation method that does not need to specify the specific position of the ship in the formation and can automatically select the appropriate position according to the actual situation: the Virtual Wall Method, which solves the above problems. The effectiveness of this algorithm is verified by the simulation of static, dynamic, rotation, scaling and obstacle avoidance of ship formation, which has significant advantages in large-scale formation of ships.
